I am a child therapist and often use books to help children with their feelings or to help explain and normalize emotions. Books are an easy way for kids to express themselves through the characters, and this book helps with just that! This book is one that I know I will use often with the children and families that I work with! This book will teach children that positive thoughts can lead to a better self image By Justine Bumgarner The tales of Sandi and Clammy are very relatable to real life situations but the author has told the stories in a way children can understand. This book will teach children that positive thoughts can lead to a better self image. It also teaches children that even though someone is no longer in our lives, they can still always be in our hearts. Two very compassionate stories in one book. As a mom of 3 boys, I highly recommend this book.

In her book FROM CHAOS TO CLARITY she gives us the blueprint that has worked for her and allows us to do the work for ourselves.Several things about this book really stuck with me. One of them is that we are almost programmed to look at fault both in ourselves and others, but the real talent and skill is to look past all of that to the good that we are and that others might bring. Great Ending to a Most Original Zombie Apocalypse Trilogy By Rick at Skiboater I received a prerelease copy of Between Life and Death for my honest review. This is the third installment of The In-Betweeners trilogy, a marvelously original take on the zombie apocalypse. There are 2 kinds of zombie-like creatures that are integral to the story. Not all the zombies are like the shambling wretches from the Walking Dead and others of that genre. The in-between zombies in this series are as different from each others as humans. And many of these zombies are more likable than a lot of the humans in the story. The range of evil and good is equivalent in these zombies and humans. But Between Life and Death is more than just an original concept. It has great characters, strong pacing, and an enduring friendship that makes it a book you will enjoy and long remember.I continue to be impressed with the author’s ability to build texture and substance into the worlds she builds in her stories. She doesn’t just build a world and then run plot after plot in that world (think Twilight series). In the original story, Ms. Christy created a grim landscape with post-apocalyptic survivors filled with visceral and appropriate fear of sudden death. In the second book, Forever Between, the humans have proven they can survive in this new world and hope starts to replace constant fear. In this last installment, the principal characters are investing in building a family, a community and taking risks tin an attempt to repair their world. And more interestingly, the risen dead become central players in the plan to grow a better world.As in the previous books, the writing is crisp and error-free. And the story is compelling. I became quite invested in the characters and started reading the moment I got my copy of the book. I finished in two days over Memorial Weekend even with 15 house guests including one infant and a toddler in the house. I don’t like endless serial stories, so I was glad that this was a trilogy and that everything was going to wrap up at the end of the book. But I was really worried that the ending couldn’t live up to the rest of the books. But I needn’t have worried. The ending is definitely not a Hollywood-happy-ending and it was not what I expected, nonetheless was satisfying and complete.I really enjoyed this book (and the series). It is so well written, intimate, and with great characters. I’m sorry the trip is over but so glad I went. I look forward to whatever subject Ms. Christy takes on next.

A great ending to an amazing series By Katy W Review: The final installment to Ann Christy's take on a post-apocalyptic zombie tale is an action packed non-stop adventure ridden thrill ride. Not only do Veronica and her adoptive family need to discover a cure, but they also have to worry about the people who don't want a cure to happen. I can't believe the series is over! I feel like Veronica, Emily, and the rest of their group are my family. Another awesome part is that no one was a whiny person that didn't want to pull their weight to help the group. Each person wanted to help find a cure, even if they had differences of opinion on other topics. Family. Team mates. Survivors together. Love it! Ann Christy has woven an amazing world where the undead In-Betweeners may not be all that they seem to be. Veronica is a fighter with heart. She feels responsible for everything around her and especially for Emily, who she has sworn to protect. Absolutely amazing ending to a series! If anyone reads it and wants to message me to talk about it in depth, feel free! I won't spoilers here, but HOLY CRAP.

By Prosthetic Lips A great ending to this novel interpretation (pun intended) of the Zombie Apocalypse. In the first 2 books, we are following Emily and Veronica and a few others, and we are crushed as Emily's cancer returns, eventually causing her to die and then become reanimated. She becomes an In-Betweener, someone who isn't dead but isn't quite alive, either.In this third book, Emily has manifested strange powers, controlling (to some extent) other in-betweeners. Meanwhile, Veronica still holds hope that a cure can be found - but will it cure Mehme (Emily) or kill her completely?The group of people living in the warehouse complex has grown considerably, from when it was just Veronica and Emily, and with extra people come extra work - and extra rewards, starting with getting more sleep, and having time to run experiments on captured in-betweeners. As the story progresses, the final confrontation with the ultimate bad guys (humans) rears up, and as we rush into the ending, the loose ends are tied up without glossing over the sacrifice made by so many.There are rumblings of other authors writing companion books in this universe; I say, "bring it on!" The humans are real, the zombies are dangerous, and everything fits together nicely.A good, satisfying read (quite a bit longer than the previous two, if that was a concern), believable characters, and all-in-all a well thought out book. Highly recommended, even to those that are not usually zombie fans (like me)!

Fun, lots of cute Thai girls and just having the time of your life. This is the vibe that comes across when reading through this guide. (Only thought paid sex is available, but not so much regular girls). Another thing that stood out was how quickly and easily you are able to meet women. What would otherwise take you years in your regular live can be experienced in a matter of days here in Thailand/Bangkok.For most of us the flight to Bangkok might be more expensive than going somewhere close by for vacation, but the experience is definitely worth it.I personally think any men should visit Thailand at least a couple of times in his life. To experience what it feels like to live in abundance of women (even if it's only illusionary). That really does something for you.Lastly, there's nothing wrong with going to places like Thailand to get women more easily than in your home country. Some people might think that makes you a loser, I disagree and would argue it's actually a smart move.Hotter women, more easily? Sounds like a good deal.This is your life anyway, so don't let anyone stop you. Go, have fun!

If you're going to Thailand and partake in adult activities, this should be your how to guide. It's shows how anyone can have a good time there, but also gives valuable advice to avoid trouble and stay safe.Thailand, or Bangkok for that matter, can really be a paradise on earth, but you gotta know the rules to really enjoy your stay. Taking some of the precautions suggested - especially when meeting girls - is easy and provides calm of mind.I absolutely loved the honesty. There's an entire chapter where he talks about the failures, the embarrassing moments, where dates didn't go well and the-like. Really fascinating to read as it's rare that you'll find somebody talk about failure that openly. It paints a more realistic picture and shows that while Thailand can be your playground, you'll never get 100% of the girls you meet.With so many choices (and girls) it's great to have some guidance and this book will definitely same you money by avoiding scams and tourist traps!

The Blacksmith and The Apprentice: Issue 1

The ancient art of blacksmithing is a thing of beauty. A lot of hard work goes into the process. It’s very complicated, really. Stoking the flames to many small, contained fires—making lumps of metal into differently shaped items of metal—hitting said lumps of metal with hammers to turn them into different weapons. You can shape metals into whatever item you want. Okay, it might not be a very interesting job, but apprenticing with the best blacksmith in the kingdom is a huge opportunity. Blacksmiths make the tools everyone needs to get about in their day-to-day lives. It’s a very prestigious and impressive position, although this honor is lost when the position is held by Dane, a youthful boy who dreams of greater adventure! Luckily, Dane has a skilled master to reign in his daydreaming. Viegar has quite an interesting past. From his years on the Royal Guard to his close relationship with the previous king, he’s quite a friend to have on your side. There is one other apprentice, Snip, who is much more passionate about his duties than Dane. Between the three of them, they churn out powerful weapons and protective armor, usually with no thanks to Dane. Of course, no cast of characters would be complete without the big man in charge—in this case, a king. By almost anyone’s account, he’s a good and fair ruler, but there is no one in power without enemies. Though Viegar and his workers only want to help their wonderful king, there are still plenty who wish to do him harm. But Dane can only imagine such things. It’s not as if he’d ever be in the position to really make any sort of difference or be in any place of power. Right? And though his apprenticeship is mundane and boring, the young man gets a few moments of excitement. Every once in a while, his master Viegar lets him venture out past the village to visit the caravan, where he can trade and buy supplies. It’s the most excitement Dane ever gets in his line of work. Sometimes, he gets to meet interesting people. Sometimes, he hears interesting things. And maybe, just maybe, he sometimes hears of a new opportunity for himself. But who would want to give up such a life as an esteemed apprentice? But of course, destiny and desire are not always what you expect . . .

Awesome Minecraft Book With Super Cool Pictures By Caroline I like this book because it was really interesting, the pictures are sooo amazing and it’s based on my most favoritest game MINECRAFT. In this book the main character, Dane, is a blacksmith apprentice and his master is Viegar which is one of the bestest blacksmiths in the cube and then there is a royal knight called Gavin and what he brings to Viegar changes Danes life FOREVER…….. I think this is a cool starter book to the series of AWESOMENESS and sooooo can’t want to read all of them to see what happens to Dane, Gavin and the horse. KekekeheheheAnother cool thing is the website link at the end of the book. It has like the characters, maps and best of all Minecraft News. Which is soooooo cool, I normally play on my Mac so had no idea about the console updates so gonna do that today on my PS3. The bestest 5 world seeds and lego world was just a big, WOW and soooo COOL!! If you are minecraft CRAZY like me you just have to check this book series out and the Stone Marshall’s site, it’s that cool. (=^.^=)

Dane, the protagonist, has been apprenticed to the master blacksmith in Strathmore named Viegar. Dane's parents disappeared when he was young. He knows that his father served the king in the Royal Guard, and that his mother, Aletta, was a sorceress. When Gavin, a king's knight, visits Viegar with a special request, Dane is excited. An accident leads to an unexpected opportunity that just might give Dane an avenue to escape following a profession that does not interest him.A few color illustrations of minecraft characters as well as a simple plot with familiar characters will entice game-lovers into reading books of this series. Reasonable length of forty pages makes it manageable for new readers. Recommended especially for six to eight year olds.

With relatable characters, exciting action and colorful illustrations, the pages seem to skim by. The entire adventure of this book gives young reluctant readers a positive reading experience, testing their comprehension with the puzzles in the process, without the readers knowing they are learning how to become better readers in the process. What an ingenious way to make reading lovable to young readers. Eagerly awaiting the forthcoming series for my young learners.

A well-written, funny, exciting, scary book By DH This is Anne Cameron’s third book in her thrilling Lightning Catcher series and I found it a real page-turner. It’s packed with exciting, scary adventures, like when Angus and his friend Dougal are in Little Frog’s Bottom, with its Horrible Endings Bookshop and Yodeling Yeti Cafe. Forbidden to enter the creepy Crevice & Sons shop, curiosity has them sneaking in anyway, and what happens to them is far more frightening than anything they could ever have imagined.When the boys meet up with Indigo for their second year at the Perilous Exploratorium for Violent Weather and Vicious Storms, there’s a swirling storm vortex over Dankhart’s castle, where Angus’s parents are imprisoned. The vortex hides a deadly secret, and the trio soon find themselves battling against Scarlet Sleeping Snow, Shimmer Sharks, evil Murderous Mists, and loads of other terrifying weather.This book is great fun, very well written, and Victoria Jamieson’s illustrations are delightful.

I really love when books pick up right where they left off and this was no different! This is without a doubt my favorite series by these two! However, I still have yet to read the Howl series! Guess I will have to get on that to see if this is still true!In the first book, you learn this book is more than just about witches but also vampires and werewolves and this big world they live in. Compared to the first book, this one throws you through the loops. Amelia didn’t realize kissing a vampire can turn her into an evil witch or worse kill her!Julian has gone missing since kissing Amelia and keeping out of sight of the new big bad vampire in town. This book is very interesting as Amelia is trying to figure out her feeling for Dominic who she gets jealous over, but she still has the pull for Julian. Im very intrigued when the spell put on Amelia lets her see the person she trusts the most which is Domenic! Definitely an event twister. I think is sort of strange how he is the one she trusts the most when they don’t spend all that much time together. I’m interested to see which one she will choose and how the next book will go.

I finally got some lingering questions answered that I had after the first book By Jennifer Appleton As always with these authors, I enjoyed this book. The story line caught and kept my attention the entire time I was reading it. I finally got some lingering questions answered that I had after the first book, but am now left with even more. With that being said, I was a little disappointed that there was not a few more scenes between Amalia and Julian-some of that excitement and passion was missing that was present in the first book. I am also a little confused about Amalia's feelings for Dominic. She is jealous when he is with other girls and apparently, based on the spell that was cast at the end, he is the person that she trusts the most. Overall I am looking forward to see how Amalia's feelings change, and who she picks, in the future. This book did not disappoint. It was a wonderful escape and I couldn't put it down. Think of this as an expanded checklist of all the things you need to know before having a child, but with concrete examples and explanations of a concern. It could also enlighten you on some things you haven't thought to consider in your planning. This covers issues and concerns pre-, during, and post-pregnancy, too, so you'll know what to expect. I also got a lot of practical tips on handling finances. Having a baby is serious business, and this is something you'd want to be very OC about. This book helps us do that.

Though, I am already a mother of a 13-year old child, I guess I still need some sort of a guide to support her in every details of the way. This book really helps me a lot for it doesn't only discussed the carrying of the baby itself but it covers the preparation from planning up to the stage of giving birth, taking care of the baby, its effect on your marriage relationship and the involvement of other people around you. This book is indeed a big help because I never had this kind of planning during the time I conceived my only child and I don't want my niece to experience same thing. Having a baby is such a great blessing but take note that great blessing comes with great responsibility.

Pregnancy comes with huge responsibilities. There will be a lot of changes that it brings to your relationship with your spouse and into taking care of the well-being of your child. Although it is a shared responsibility between you and your spouse but the greater burden will be on women. It has also greater psychological effects on women especially with all the changes your body is experiencing. There will be a lot of changes that will come into a woman who is becoming a mother. I love how this book has shared concrete examples of the common dilemmas of having a child. This helps you picture out of what you are going to expect when having a child. I recommend this book to all those women out there who are planning their pregnancy already.

He has a boat and a motor, now all he has to do it get it working in time to enter the big race in the 11-years-and under category. And the stakes are high since he pretty much promised to beat the annoying Bryce Billings. Then there’s this girl, Clementine, pretty and mysterious. Fish Finelli: Operation Fireball is the second in this great series for boys that girls can enjoy too.Fish and his friends Roger and T.J. do pretty much everything together, and together they can make anything fun, including rescuing a cat from a tree and waiting out a thunderstorm on a creepy island. Together they prove that a bit of ingenuity, hard work and sticking to the rules of a good sea captain will get them through just about anything.Kids should also be interested in the small facts sprinkled throughout the book. For instance, Fish really likes tinkering with things and he likes inventors who did too. When he quotes Thomas Edison, who invented the phonograph, a pull out illustration gives information about Edison and his invention. Jason Beene’s drawings illustrate the narrative perfectly, adding a touch of whimsy to the words on the page.I recommend Fish Finelli: Operation Fireball for readers aged 8 to 12.The publisher gave me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

By This Kid Reviews Books Fish Finelli and his friends have to beat the school bully, Bryce Billings, in a boat race, due to a dare made at the end of book one. There is just one problem – that Bryce has a new boat with a 9.9 horsepower (which is the limit for the race) and Fish and his friends have an old whaler with a 5 horsepower motor. Will they beat Bryce?This was a fun book. I didn’t read book 1, but Ms. Farber brings the reader right up to speed so I totally understood the back-story (As a note, I love it when an author recaps the previous book(s) in a series really well). Fish is a great character, and I like how he solves his own problems. He is also devoted to sailing and I enjoyed reading about a kid who likes to sail. Ms. Farber has an enjoyable writing style. I love all of the humor she put in the story. I really enjoyed the little fact boxes and diagrams about things in the book. That was a nice touch. The illustrations scattered in the book were great too. They had a very cool style. After reading this book, I’m going to go back and read the first one in the series. I like a good story. :) This book is a great read for young advanced readers, reluctant readers and kids looking for a fun story!*NOTE I got a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

My Ten Year Old Boy Reviews It By despond This book was and advance copy through Librarything.My ten year old son Diamond has written a short review:I enjoyed this book a lot because it is one of the best book I've ever read. This book had all of the things I thought it would not have. The book I just read is a really good, fast paced book.The things I expected that it would not have is the action, funny, hilarious stuff. Some not-so good stuff and a bunch of others stuff. When it comes to funny stuff in this book, it is not even hilarious. It is more than hilarious. It is so funny that it made me laugh! Rodger was probably the funniest. He told the most funniest jokes throughout the whole book. Some of the things he wrote were not even jokes. They were more funny than jokes.This book is not published (he didn't know it was published!) yet so it might have mistakes. It also has the sketches and all of that. It says "THIS IS A SKETCH. FINAL ART TO COME."

What an awesome bunch of great Randall the Rhino Stories By Angela It had some very clean, sweet and great moral lessons in each of these stories. I enjoyed these and I recommend these ebooks for young children who loves to read animal stories as much as I do.This is why I am giving this ebook five stars.
