Review I thoroughly enjoyed reading this wonderful book because it brought to mind something my father, the late Dr. Stephen R. Covey, would often say: Peace of mind comes when your life is in harmony with enduring principles and values and in no other way.” Rich Habits, Rich Life does exactly that. Based on the Four Cornerstones of Me We Do Be,” Bell brilliantly reveals how cultivating the right habits” can not only enrich and improve your life and give you peace of mind, but doing so can save you from the destructiveness, dissatisfaction, and danger of a life floundering to and fro like a ship without a rudder. Backed by research and highly practical, this book is tremendously relevant today!Stephen M. R. He has a PhD in Human Organizational Systems and an MBA from UCLA, not to mention twenty-five years worth of experience consulting on tragedies around the world, like the 9/11 World Trade Center disaster, the Bikini Atoll nuclear testing, the Heaven’s Gate mass suicides, and the OJ Simpson case. He is also an avid volunteer with youth groups and homeless people, not to mention a married father of four. All of these experiences add up to a life that could leave a man jaded about people and the world. That is not the case with Bell, though.Throughout Bell’s book he offers examples of how people he has come across have made choices in their lives. These personal choices have often led to positive thinking and action and, in turn, a better place for the individual in the world, frequently despite huge hardships. By Thomas Law Randall Bell has done us a tremendous service as he has zeroed in on the habits that lead to success and even happiness. These may not be all of the habits one needs nor do having these habits guarantee that a person will be successful and happy, but developing these habits does help in the process. He has divided them into four areas which make them easy to understand and apply. In each area he highlights the kinds of habits that contribute to success and happiness. Bell’s ultimate premise for the book is don’t just live a life, leave a legacy. tomlaw.org/booksummaries

By Stella Carrier I fortunately was able to purchase Rich Habits, Rich Life; The Four Cornerstones of All Great Pursuits by Randall Bell PhD (Author), Rich Germaine (Narrator), Leadership Press Institute (Publisher) with my audible membership and use one of my audible credits. The narrator does carefully go over the marshmallow study and explains how richness pours into other areas of a person’s life. However, the one area where I would have to definitely listen to the audio more times is where it is implied to not concern oneself with money as much. To the authors credit, he did not say that money was not important at all, it was just that I was hoping that there would be more info covered as to what to do if a person cannot ignore the popular saying that money does not matter even if they tried to. For instance, during my last year in the navy I easily made at least 3,000 dollars after taxes which influenced me to truly feel rich and I would have been probably had an easier time truly believing that it is not about the money. Please, know that I’m grateful for the money I pulled in then and what I pulled in during 2015, even with the fact that I made 11.29 per hour during the final quarter of the year. I know that it is up to me to make more money in 2016 and beyond, but I was just trying to diplomatically explain why it is currently hard for me to ignore the popular saying (even among many well-meaning popular and influential people) that it is not about the money (and I was hoping that there might be some advice on how to truly accept and believe the well-meaning saying that it is not about the money when a person’s external reality reflects otherwise). Aside from that popular money saying caveat from many well-meaning people, Rich Habits is still a meaningful audiobook to listen to.

By bart warner I heard Dr. Bell at a TED talks event and was really impressed with what he had to say and the content of his book. He talks from experience - not just untested philosophy. This book is well worth the time to read - it can be a life changer for anyone! I ordered one for each of my employees and I am expecting a great ROI for the investment in them with this book - let alone what I believe it will do for each for each them.
