It is a story about the black plague and how a little girl loses her parents to it! It did not focus much at all on a unicorn. Very disappointing, my daughter wanted to quit reading it after the first few pages and I didn't blame her.

While it is an interesting concept, it is sad and not appropriate for kids at all. Especially do not read at bedtime. The cover looks like it should be for kids, but it is not. I'm glad I read the reviews on this and decided not to read it to my kids. I write children's books, and I would not put that it's a bedtime story in the title if there people dying of the black death. Hopefully the next stories in the series are more appropriate for kids.

Tellez Cute cover, but the book was like someone typed up a "story," smacked it into a nice cover, and sold it. My son was like, "mom - is this really a book?" No pictures or anything. Very disappointed.
