About the Author Alain Grée is a French author and illustrator of children’s books. He has had over 300 books published, which have been translated into 20 different languages. He has also worked as a children’s broadcaster on French national television, produced three detective novels, ten ship navigation books and been a journalist for 20 years for Voiles et Voiliers (sailing ships) magazine.

All of our children love it, but our 4 and 5 year olds especially enjoy it. We try to incorporate nature study in our homeschool on a regular basis, so this is a fun way to do that with our younger children. The paper quality is wonderful. Thick and sturdy. I'm hoping to add another book or two in this series to our home library.
