About the Author
J. C. Rice attended kindergarten in France. He loves dragons, world travel and will, if pressed, admit to liking Hello Kitty.
Rice lives in Santa Clara, California, with his wonderful wife and one-year-old daughter.
For twenty years Rice has taught third and fourth grade. Early on he began writing and sharing his chapter books with each class. Every year his students beg him to publish them. He finally agreed.
To date, Rice is the author of thirteen books and counting. He’s written about the dream world, secret agents, superheroes, mad scientists, and, of course, Norwegian werewolves.
Rice can’t wait to share his stories with his daughter—but not all at once.

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. My students and I love this book! By Luke in San Jose I read Edward Changeover first on my own and then later to my class. As an adult I enjoyed this book a great deal. The characters are interesting and the writing style is accessible, but still very immersive to the reader. To an adult reader this book promises a fun quick read and likely revisits for some quick entertainment. Where the book truly shines is when it is read aloud in installments. A child will enjoy this book on their own and it is clever in it's delivery. Each chapter is very short in length and moves the plot along. It has humor that will entertain an adult and still be appropriate for a child. The plot is linear and easy to follow without giving itself away. Reading the book aloud will give you the chance to stop and talk about the story, or to stop for the night at a cliffhanger (of which you will have many choices). I would stop at an interesting point in the story and tell my students to go out to recess only to have them beg for, "Just one more chapter!" As a teacher I give this book my highest recommendation.

There is never a dull moment in this book. The characters are mysterious and intriguing. I wasn't sure "who done it" until I got to the end! As a teacher, this book is a perfect read aloud. The pace is excellent for young readers. The fantastical elements of the story pull you in and the relatable characters keep your attention. I highly recommend this book for a quick fantastical adventure that will leave you wanting more.
