I was very worried because I loved her more than anything and I couldn't get over her as much as I wanted. I started to get depressed, I couldn't sleep, eat or enjoy myself properly. It burnt my heart when I saw her hanging out with other guys and it seemed like she had forgotten me. Thank god I found this book, it helped me a LOT. it surely was a long process but thanks to all those tips and warnings given there, I was able to maintain my relationship and get her back. She knows about this book and she appreciates the effort I did to get her back. We're thankful

It not only teaches you the tips and tricks of how to regain the interest of your ex, but others as well. It doesn't stop there though. It makes you question and analyze whether you should want your ex back in the first place. I like the fact that it makes you think and become a better person for having done so. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I was offered this book through a promotion that gave me the book in exchange for my honest opinion.

The author does not sound like an expert on the topic. It sounds like he just threw together common sense tips he found from the internet. He doesn't go into a lot of detail about his strategies, but rather glazes over a lot of obvious topics. Put your money towards another book, my friends. This one will disappoint you.

About the Author I was born in Utah, but grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona and St. Louis, Missouri, the fifth of seven children. I attended Southern Virginia University and Brigham Young University, where I studied English and Theater. I now live in Idaho with my husband and four children. I have Charlotte Brontë to thank for the courage to write novels. After being bombarded with assigned reading about women who justified abandoning either their families or their principles in the name of love, I had the great fortune of reading Jane Eyre. And that was it: finally, a heroine who understood that being moral and making the right choice was hard, and sometimes it hurt, but it was still worth it. After rereading it several years later, I realized that if I wanted more books to exist with the kinds of heroines I admired, then I might as well write a few myself. My books are about women who face hard choices, who face pain and rejection and often have to face the reality of sacrificing what they want for what is right. The consequences are often difficult or unpleasant, but in the end, doing what’s right will always be worth it. I believe there is no substitute for good writing or good chocolate. Fortunately, one often leads to the other.

It was a beautifull story about a young women growing up and finding strength, healing, and love after domestic abuse. READ THE AUTHORS NOTE AT THE BEGINNING. I'm super picky when it comes to plot and character development and this author never lets me down! Marilee's story stands alone while still being perfectly intertwined with her sister's (in Just Ella, and Missing Lily). It feels raw, real and believable without being dark. I can't wait to read it again! It is so much more than just a beautiful love story. (less)

If you've never read her books before, rest assured that "Saving Marilee" is just as wonderful as her others! (Although I might recommend reading "Just Ella" and "Missing Lily" first, so you can enjoy seeing them in this book as well!). I truly appreciated how the author approached this story -Marilee's perspective, and her growth, take you an an incredible emotional journey. I'll straight out admit that there were certain parts that truly touched me, and I may have (ahem) cried a little.Marilee starts out with the death of her abusive husband, and begins an emotional journey of healing and learning to trust again. She is such a strong character. I really liked her as the protagonist. I loved the development as well. Marilee didn't just snap her fingers and become her old self or immediately heal from her pain -it took time.Honestly, I could go on for quite a while about this wonderful book, but my biggest suggestion would be to quickly grab a copy for yourself and enjoy the journey!

Another brilliant offering By pickyreader Since I found Just Ella, I've waited impatiently for Annette's book releases and pounced on my kindle the moment they were live. I've loved her first two books, and Saving Marilee was another brilliant offering. I loved how well Annette captured Marilee's psyche as a result of her harsh experiences. Everything she did and felt seemed completely true and natural for her character. I appreciated how her mistreatment was touched on without graphic depictions and descriptions making me extremely uncomfortable. I really admire Annette's way with words. Some of her passages were downright poetic and left me- a green, aspiring author- rather envious of her talent. I will say this book lacked some of the drama and strength of climax that her first two possessed. Overall, the story felt more gently, emotionally tugging rather than poignantly aching as I experienced with the others. However, I felt that was appropriate given Marilee's journey and the subject of recovery. I highly recommend Saving Marilee and will continue to return for anything Ms. Larsen releases.

About the Author Growing up on a farm, Lee Edward Fodi was subjected to various horrible chores such as cleaning up after chickens, pigs, geese, and younger siblings. There was a time when his father harbored hopes that his son would take over the family business, but these aspirations came to an abrupt end when the young author accidentally ran the tractor over his dad's outhouse (thankfully, his dad was not inside at the time). As a result, Fodi went on to pursue his love of art, mythology, and storytelling, all of which (luckily) do not require any skill in operating heavy machinery. He is the author and illustrator of The Chronicles of Kendra Kandlestar and has also illustrated several picture books, including I'll Follow the Moon and The Chocolatier's Apprentice, a Canadian national bestseller. When he is not writing and illustrating, Fodi spends his time teaching kids how to daydream through his fun-filled creative writing workshops. He enjoys travelling, and especially exploring castles, mazes, tombs, and temples, not to mention tiny places hidden between the cracks of here and there.

The characters are fun and the plot is full of great twists and turns.This book, the last of the series, wraps up the adventures in a spectacular and satisfying way. One one hand it masquerades as a simple children's adventure. But it is bigger than that. I suppose what I love most is the writer's voice. The voice makes observations in the telling- both wry, playful, and insightful. He makes a very bold choice midway for a children's book- I'll not say what that choice is- but it is powerful and startling and ultimately takes the book to a place it couldn't have achieved had it not happened.The Kendra Kandlestar series is about discovering your own inner light, seeing your weaknesses and stepping beyond them to do the right thing.It just screams out for a film adaption by the Jim Henson Company. The characters echo of films like The Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal- but the world they inhabit is big. It would actually be hard to capture unless done as one mini-series for each book. The entirety of the series is a great adventure that is both an inner journey and an outer journey.

It is so amazing By A Customer I loved the ending; I just wished it could go on more but I enjoyed it so much that I think I'm going to read all the books over and over again. And one part when she found her brother in book 2, I was so happy but then he turned back into Trooogul and I got sad but in Book 5 it made me happy again because the curse of the Wizard Greeve got reversed and I was like " SHE GOT HER FAMILY BACK YEAH!" It was so amazing for me.

I read them so often that one day my mother hid the one that I was reading from me because I had to finish my homework. This book was absolutely awesome, and I would recommend it to all my friends.

I love trains so naturally when I saw that the Kindle version of this book was free I decided to get it and write a review for it. Warning this review contains spoilers. This is a nice short 18 page book. It features a picture of a different train engine on each page. I really would have liked them to tell us the names of the engines that we are looking at. This book shows pictures of old trains and newer trains. Throughout this book there are “did you know…” boxes that provide us interesting facts about things that have changed because of trains, and other random train or railroad facts. This book does not limit itself to American trains of facts. We learn a little about trains around the world. Overall I am happy with this book. It mainly is a picture book like the title suggests. I enjoyed the high quality pictures, but I wish there were more of them.

He is crazy about trains so this book was perfect for him.The pictures were awsome, they were real picture of what trains looked liked back in my grandmother's day. And what alot of them look like today. It was not like a cartoon which I really liked. I enjoyed it as well.He learned some of the history of trains back in the 1900's and today's time.We had a good time reading this together. He asked some interesting questions LOL! It is a short book which I like that way I'm not having to read for a very long time on the days when I don't have that much time to read.I love getting books from Amazon Kindle and having them on my phone or tablet. It's awsome when we are in the car, home, doctors office, they can read anywhere.It's the perfect book for a little girl or boy who would love to learn some of the history of trains.I would definitely recommend this to family and friends. It's funny because as others have mentioned it's a drawing of trains on the front but the title says "pictures." If you click on the "Look Inside" button on the main product page, it shows you several pictures of what's inside the book. What you see is pretty much what you get.The format of this ebook is like many of the books in the Baby Professor series. The usually have a picture with a short paragraph or few sentences with some fun facts and then on the next page is just anothe photos. The photos are very cool however, it would be nice is their is more details or information. Again, as others have mentioned, it would have been so easy to actually include a caption with each photo. In this book it could have been as easily as tell what kind of train was pictured. Also, how easy would it be to actually add more details to the book. There is so much room on the page that is only a picture. So many things could be said about every subject they are introducing.If you are in the market for books like this I encourage you to check out the other books offered by Baby Professor. They are hit and miss sometimes (the biggest miss is the creepy stories book) but if you can download them for free you really have nothing to loose.Since the book is offered for for right now (and so many of the Baby professor are free or .99¢ right now) it's hard to complain too much. I would say, since I have an 8 and a 9 year old, I would have been disappointed if I had bought the book or ebook at full price.A couple other things I've notice with Baby Professor books, it seems they interchange between units of measure. For example, they will use kilometers and then a few pages later will reference something in feet. From what I remember they only used kilometers in this book but it would be nice if the had both in the book. For my kids it wouldn't be a big deal and it could be an nice lesson for them to learn how to use a conversion app. My son would enjoy that, my daughter not so much.***** I received this ebook for free in exchange for my honest review. *****

Rebuttal to anyone who'd knock these books By Debra Edwards Christian books are not my usual genre, but one day i picked up the first book in the Left Behind series and i was hooked. The authors are brilliant, the characters are realistic. Honestly these books don't read like the typical Christian book. They don't 'push' religion on you at all. Of course they talk about religion and the christian characters try to help the non-christians to try to save themselves, but everything is presented as action books. There's danger, guns, heros, mysteries being solved, love, and 'thank god', none of those sex scenes that are constantly taking too much space in most of the books I enjoy reading. I'm pretty open-minded on religion, I believe that all things are possible. These books are entertaining, well written and engaging, with enough excitement and drama that even Non-Christians would get a lot of enjoyment out of reading them.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Series for adults now rewritten for teens By Kelli I have always enjoyed the adult series of Left Behind books. The kids books are just as good. The kids interact with the characters from the adult series, experience the same events, etc. However, since the main characters are teens, these books can appeal to younger readers. So far, the stories haven't had the ups and downs that the adult series has had. The adult series has books that are a lot more boring than others. The kids series seems to be good in every book. These are not for really young kids, but would be appropriate for young teens. I enjoy them and I am an adult.

Pursued By Vincent de Ruiter Along with Taken, Pursued is a very enjoyable book to read, especially if you like Christian Fiction that pertains to the prophetic book called Revelation. Being as I am, I really like to compare these left behind books and read along in the book of Revelation to see how far the fictional characters are living in the end times. Even thought this is only the begining, it just keeps on getting better every time you read the next books. it is very easy to connect to the characters and get emotional attached to the characters, which are only fiction. This most of the time makes a really good book. Thats all for now, I hope this has helped some.Deus Laus

(In one of several scrupulous parenthetical explanations, Dickinson apologizes for the names he gives them as a fictional convenience.) ``Li'' has a genius surpassing Edison's: she not only invents useful devices (a net to catch minnows, a splint for a broken leg) but is the catalyst for changing the nature of tribal leadership so that ``it depend[s] less upon dominance and more upon consent.'' Young and female, Li lacks conventional power; what fascinates her is solving problems--especially how to get food in the coastal environment so persuasively described; and she's clever enough not to challenge authority but to bolster it in the most benign available leader. Meanwhile, in alternating chapters, modern anthropologists investigate the site, their scholarly pursuits and rivalries subtly echoing the earlier time. A Bone From A Dry Sea By A Customer A Bone From A Dry Sea Book Review This book changed completely the way I used to look at ancient civilations and the job of archeologists on searching for the unknown. A Bone From A Dry Sea is a novel by Peter Dickinson which include two related stories that happen at different times. One is about a little girl named Li who is the thinker of her people. Her uncle, Presh, was the leader of the tribe. One day the tribe was attacked and Presh was killed. Incidently, most of the tribe was killed due to a tsunami. Li took the leadership to lead them to a safe place. On the other hand, four million years later, the sea had dried. Vinny was visiting the site where her father worked searching for the fossil remains of our ancestors. There, she was considered their "lucky pet". This young girl found a bone and observed details which weren't even noticed by famous experts. Therefore, leading the team to infer outstanding discoveries and motivatig them to excavate more. This mysterious novel was very realistic and believable. Teenagers can relate to the characters. The story as pretty well developed, still leaving some information out to keep the mystery. It was hard to get bored, there was always something new happening. The first story was too descriptive and took pages to get excited. The ending solved all problems and uncovered mysteries, still leaving a thought in our mind, challenging the author to write a continuation in the future.

Her father, Sam, is working in an archeological site in Africa without much success. Vinny comes and accidentaly matches a pair of broken skull and Dr. Hamiska, the leader of the site, begins to call her his lucky charm . Dr. Hamiska takes her to a site without much incident and Vinny finds something that wil change history and the world view of human evolution. Millions of years earlier, in the same place a small girl in-between ape and human begins to open her mind. She lives in a Sea-ape tribe accustomed to life on the beach. Her name is Li and gradually her mind is opening up to the world around her. A large current of problems makes the tribe look to her for help and her decision will forever change the future of humanity. A Bone From A Dry Sea is an interesting view into the world of paleontology and the cornerstone of evolution from ape to human. The author chose a unique way of writing by telling the story of these two girls in separate worlds by alternating chapters. Every chapter alternates between past and present. You begin to notice that what happens in the past world is repeated in the present. For example, a male begins to battle the dominant male for power and the same kind of battle for dominance occurs with Dr. Hamiska and Vinny's father. Which goes to show that some things never change.

A Bone From A Dry Sea By A Customer I had to read the book "A Bone From A Dry Sea" for school and since no one else in my group wanted to read it, I ended up reading it and loving it. The book tells about the adventures of "Li" a girl who lived in Africa 4 million years ago and the story also talks about the life of a girl named "Vinny" who discovers the remains of a dolphin's shoulder blade and who also discovered some of Li's life when she visited her father in Africa.

Acceptable book about monsters By Ireli PRO: This book is colorful, and the monsters are cute, fun, and interesting to my kids.PRO: It uses clear and repetitive (therefore predictable) language which so great because it is listed as a sight word reader.NEUTRAL: It is short, and the formatting kind of bothers me. There is a size difference from viewing it in landscape format vs portrait format. See the picture below for an example of one page viewed both ways.PRO: It only cost .99, so the price was right when adding stuff to my kids' device.

Great book to get your brain working. The illustration are cute and funny. This book does not have many words. Great for a child that is being to read as well. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. great book filled with factual information By seeking insight Dr. Sims has written a concise factual book that will help betrayed spouses with their personal healing journey. Often, the first truism a betrayed spouse needs to hear is that he/she didn't "cause" the affair. The unfaithful spouse must take full responsibility for the decision to have an affair and understand there may be unpleasant consequences.As many psychologists write, we can't control the behavior of others nor can we change them. As Dr. Sims states: a betrayed spouse can't make the unfaithful end an affair. Related to this issue, the author does a tremendous job in explaining the key role counselors/therapists can play as unfortunately not all therapists are adequately trained to deal with infidelity. Remember a betrayed spouse may not have been the perfect spouse, but he/she doesn't make his/her spouse take the necessary actions to have an affair.Also, Dr. Sims takes the time to explain that forgiveness doesn't mean you forget the pain. Whether the couple remains married or not, it's in the betrayed spouse's best interest to forgive the unfaithful. Forgiveness doesn't restore trust nor does it mean reconciliation.Restoring trust is critical after infidelity; trust can only be restored by the unfaithful's actions and ability to make deep changes.I think it's great she mentions children as whether you tell them or not is a personal decision.Wonderful book!

It help me to see what part I played in my marriage to cause it to fall apart. If I had read this book sooner I could have changed my way of thinking and worked on saving my marriage. This book is a good read and very informational. Love the exercises after the end of each chapter

There’s just something about a bad boy, especially when he isn’t nearly as bad as he pretends to be. He doesn’t want to care about people, about Mia, but it’s very obvious that he does. He cares what people think. What Mia and the guys think. Their opinions matter to him, even if he pretends they don’t, which is what makes Ryder so endearing to me. He’s a bad boy with a poet’s heart that he does his best to hide.One of my favorite things about this book is the fake/pretend relationship aspect. Ryder needs to get his G.E.D. to save face in front of the rest of the band, and the world, because he lied and led everyone to believe he has his high school diploma, and he doesn’t. Instead, he has plans to take his G.E.D. in a month and he got the band’s tour manager to find him a tutor. Who he finds is smart, straight-laced, far too interesting and tempting, Mia.Mia is a somewhat sheltered girl, a secret Seconds to Juliet fangirl, who had a little bit of a crush on Ryder, before she met him and found out what a jerk he is. Still, she agrees to be his pretend girlfriend so he can save face in front of the rest of the guys, but she wasn’t expecting to find depth beneath his bad boy exterior, depth she actually begins to like.If you are a boy band fangirl at heart, do yourself a favor and buy this book. It’s so good. So fun and heartfelt. And so very well-written. I couldn’t put it down!

SINGLE. TIME.Seriously, I love a good YA love story, and this one had all my favorites! The oh so good looking bad boy who doesn’t want any part of love. The good girl who falls head over heals, and BAM, put ’em together, and you get L-O-V-E.Of course there are issues along the way, and nothing is perfect, they are teenagers, but that is what makes it such a great story.This one is part of a series, and I am excited to go back and read number one in the series, AND, I already have number three loaded up and ready to roll!Super cute, super fun Mia and the Bad Boy was a HIT!

Duet with Mia By ManicMommy Mia and Ryder both have roles to play and secrets to keep, but when they're around eachother they find themselves slipping further into who they want to be and less into the roles they're expected to play. When a secret from Ryder's past is revealed, he can think of only one person who'd betray him....Mia. Were their feelings ever real, or we're they just playing a game of puppet and master? This book was sweet, funny, and totally swoon worthy! Ryder starts out as an unlikable character, but as his layers are revealed you see the amazing man that lies under his rough exterior and the strong and sassy girl it takes to bring it out.

Awesome By Hypnotist 101 This one kept the kids quiet for almost a whole afternoon whilst they intricately worked their way through all the enchantments in the book. Of course the peace didn't last long, because once they's mastered some of the spells, they were back into the usual game-chaos, but at least they're a bit smarter now and a bit more ambitious with their game play. I asked how the book was, and the answer came back 'Awesome'. So there it is. Awesome.
