About the Author Brian Rock is a children’s author and former school teacher who lives in Virginia with his wife, daughter and of course, his many imaginary friends. He has enjoyed writing stories since he was old enough to hold a no. 2 pencil. Although he was once put out of class for writing too many stories, he went on to receive a master’s degree in Creative Writing and Children’s Literature from Hollins University. Along the way, Brian has performed as a stand-up comic, worked as a “McCountant,” and written award winning country songs for his band Family Reunion. He also contributes music reviews to the Americana blog, Turnstyled Junkpiled. His first children’s stories were published in the Roanoke based children’s newspaper, Kid’s World. His poems have been published in Highlights for Children and Poetry Train as well as the 2016 anthology, ONE MINUTE TILL BEDTIME. His published picture books include DON'T PLAY WITH YOUR FOOD!, PIGGIES, WITH ALL MY HEART, THE DEDUCTIVE DETECTIVE, and MARTIAN MUSTACHE MISCHIEF.

It’s charming and very entertaining. I thought the illustrator, Joshua Dawson, did a fantastic job bringing the story to life. In particular, the expressions of the characters’ faces are wonderful.What’s the book about? Well, there is an invasion, moustaches, loads of ketchup (or tomato sauce as we call it here in Australia) and aliens – oh, and a tricky tongue twister like no other! I’m not one to give away endings so that’s all I’m going to say.Nonetheless, I think your children will be engaged and excited about this funny tale. They’ll also learn why it’s rude to point and laugh at small creatures from outer space; why putting ketchup and pepper on pancakes isn’t a great idea (or is it?) and; a little bit about space.Grab a copy and add it to your child’s library. I’m sure it will be a big hit.

Krumwiede What's small and furry, looks like a mustache, and can't get enough catsup? The wacky martians in this book, that's what. Brace yourselves for a wild and wooly attack of the giant (not so much) killer (not really) tomato-(catsup, that is)-loving aliens! This story is bound to get some LOLs from kids who get a kick out of crazy humor. Recommended for anyone who loves to laugh.

What better thing for Martians to do when their planet loses its red color than to steal all the ketchup from Earth! But who would have expected this is how they'd go about it! Colorful illustrations that will leave kids wanting a mustache.
