From the Back Cover
Once a liar, always a liar
The Rosewood police think they've finally caught the notorious stalker and murderer known as A. But Hanna, Aria, Emily, and Spencer know that the real A is still out there—and as long as I'm on the loose, they have to watch their backs.
Hanna is offered the role of a lifetime—in a movie about her life. Aria's paintings go viral, until her fine art escalates to the art of war. Spencer starts an antibullying blog but finds that her homepage is as dangerous as her home life. And Emily goes behind bars to reconnect with the girl who stole her heart.
Who knew I'd be so hard to track down? But these girls are always ten steps behind me, and pretty soon they'll give me just what I need to ruin them—once and for all.

In my review of Deadly (#14), I wrote that the series was getting stretched thin but that the books were still entertaining. This book challenges that. As the penultimate in the series, I was looking forward to Toxic, especially since I was making a cross country journey last week when it came out. Sorely disappointed. It seemed shorter than the others, and, as others have said, it's pretty much pure filler. I'd also swear it was ghostwritten. I can't put my finger on why, but that's the vibe I get from it. Also, only one significant thing happens. I bet you could skip straight to 16 without missing anything.

So-so By Anna It's not just me judging from other below reviews- this book just felt as if she was just rushing it; and tying up loose ends (although I'm not sure if any loose ends were resolved!)It's like others below said; there was no sustance to the plot and all the storylines were quite farfetched.I will read to the end, but this is the first PLL book where I haven't been excited and there were NO plot twists! Quite disappointing.
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. "Toxic" By D glover "Toxic" by Sara Shepard is a "Toxic" book. This book was sometimes good and sometimes terrible. Sara Shepard's writing style is like a marathon runner; she starts out strong and in first place and ends the marathon in last place. "Toxic" had good details in the beginning but just ended up disappointing. (Caution: Spoilers) "Toxic" is so predicting. Ali killing people after using them for her devious deeds, the girls finding a lead which turns out to be a trick, etc. Haven't we seen this already? I mean come on; I'm desperate for something new! As a big fan and reader for over a year, I think Sara Shepard is pushing her luck. I hope "Vicious" is the book with a home run.
