Do you love romance stories, but hate all the vulgarity that shows up in them so often? Read this you won't be disappointed! This is a great quick summer read that is not offensive or vulgar in anyway. It's good clean fun, and that is getting harder to find in today's world. Can't wait for books 2 and 3!

It is enjoyable reading with nothing offensive in its contents. Its setting is mostly in an English mansion and surrounding village, but the time period changes from modern back to the Regency era. The main characters are endearing, and you find yourself hoping things will work out for them as some of the mysteries in their past unfold. I would definitely recommend this book. When it ends, you wish for more.

I love clean Regency books, and from the description it seemed like something I might enjoy so I got it on my Kindle and...I couldn't put it down! Janessa Burt has a way of keeping your attention through the entire book, with good character development and clean romance it won't dissapoint! Burt fits in perfectly with all the other Regency authors I like (Jennifer Moore, Sarah M. Eden, Sarah E. Ladd, Julie Klassen, etc.). I am anxiously waiting for book 2 so I can find out what happens to the characters and can't wait to see what else Burt writes in the future!

Having said that, there are years of pain,laughter, and loving here. I would recommend this book to anyone one who is or has been a caregiver for any reason. Caregivering is exhausting but inevitably rewarding for those who go through it.

I knew then that I wanted to buy this book for my granddaughter. Little did I realize what a beautiful book this would be about a little girl listening for the voice of God. The story is one that we all can learn from as we go through our daily lives. As you move through the book you will share in the wonderful joy of adventure in a child's world living in a small rural community. The illustrations are so colorful and full of fun details to keep even the youngest child's interest. I have one for all the little people in my family and even have one for myself!

This book is a fascinating true story of a family of 15 in a nearby Hamlet of Indian falls in Western New York about the iconic Peter Klotzbach family. Mr. Klotzbach father emigrated from Germany in the late 1800s. So many Germans came to this country with precious skills, making Western New York, prosperous. Many were farmers with great motivation, acquired some of the most fertile lands in Genesee County. He became an ordained minister at the age of 19. Had a very large dairy and potato farm raising 13 children. And the minister of a church down the road from me. Many of my colleagues and friends remember his sermons. They were down to earth and very inspiring. He read the Bible, a very religious man. His faith in God must have given him guidance in endurance in managing a family, farm and church. So many of my older friends remember him so dearly. However, daughter, Ellen Carey has written this book and recorded many memories combined with many biblical quotes so precious when we reminisce about rural life during the depression years and World War II. I myself can remember my father making cheese at a small cross-road cheese factory. I remember him telling me milk in the depression got down to.60 cents per hundred pounds. Today's price ($20 per hundredweight). Some farmers with large families defaulted on their mortgages. Banks foreclosed on their farms. How devastating when your whole life depends on a farm to feed a large family. Divine intervention must of served Klotzbach well. This is one of the greatest human interest stories, and is a must read. Even if you never met the Klotzbachs. It made me want to be a better person.

After becoming enrolled into the Academy of Arkarnae for gifted children, Alex discovers that there is more to the land of Medora than she could of ever known. Life at the Academy becomes somewhat routine. Routine that is until Aven appears and Alex feels that he is up to no good. By the end of the book you will find out just what he is up to. I read this book cover to cover, I enjoyed every single second of it! I can't wait for the next in the series! Alex is a very fully developed character and going on this journey with her was a pleasure! I am not a fan of Harry Potter so to me the book was similar to the Chronicles of Narnia coupled with X-Men. Then i thought; how do I even pronounce this?Akarnae was recommended to me by a friend so I picked it up. As soon as I got into the first three chapters I knew this book was going to be pretty special.Alexandra Jennings is dropped off at a boarding school, while her archaeological parents go on a important work trip. As soon as Alex arrives she knows that the following eight months were going to be interesting. That was before she walked through a door and ended up in a place by the name of Medora. Alex is thrust into a strange fascinating world with little knowledge of where she is. And the only person who can help her, Professor Marselle, has disappeared.Two boys, Jordan and Bear, instantly befriend her and slowly she's told about the strange but fascinating world. With no way of getting home, Alex joins Akarnae Academy, thrown into strange and new experiences.Alex quickly becomes accustomed to the world of Medora, her friends, weird teachers and classes that challenge her to the brink of exhaustion. Then strange things start happening including the reoccurrence of a guy, mysteriously appearing and disappearing at random times, holding a secret Alex is afraid to find out.Soon Alex finds herself in situations that test her, with the threat of danger to people she cares about and the world she grew to love.This book was so spellbinding, inspirational, memorable and amazingly magical! A good beginning By Ionia Froment 3.5 StarsAn imaginative book with great characters--that sadly kept reminding me of other books.Don't get me wrong, this isn't a copy of any other books, it is just that some of the concepts seemed very similar and my mind automatically wanted to draw up Harry Potter or Narnia, so it made it difficult for me to appreciate this story and these characters.The author has done a good job of making likeable characters and giving them personalities individual of one another. It was easy to keep them apart and I'm sure that kids will enjoy this book. The descriptions are fantastic.There is a bit of repeat information that could have been curtailed in some spots, but overall I found this to be an enjoyable read. As this is going to be a series, it will be interesting to see where the author goes with it.I liked it, for the most part.This review is based on a complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

He's the most complex of all the Rose Knights, but it seems the canon pairing is going to be Kaede x Anise.In this volume, we have a showdown to win an "Arcana Card" at an idol competition against Rhodecia. It's obvious from the first meeting with Yako and Idel that they are possible enemies and are up to no good. The way the competition went was just way too unrealistic. Anise and her group have to come up with acts on the spot, instead of practicing for them. I would think that a flyer would be given out before or online somewhere for them to prepare for it, but this is not the case.I won't spoil anything, but Idel and Yako obviously are enemies of a sort and have their own powers. Out of nowhere new enemies just conveniently show up to cause trouble at the perfect moment. And Aya Shouoto is starting to tease readers with many possible romantic pairings. Every knight gets his moment here-except for Tenjo-so if you are dying for some romance between Anise and one of the Knights, here is where that all starts.Here's the thing: I like this manga, but I don't ever think I will come to love it. It's enjoyable for passing time, but really, it lacks that "spark" that most series have that draws you in. Yes, Anise is a good heroine, but the way the plot is thrown in circles along with some poorly placed humor and sudden romantic teases makes me really annoyed. However, this a shoujo series that presents a very addicting kind of story so each volume you read makes you want to keep reading it. The art is absolutely stunning and I really like having this on my shelf. I am glad that this was licensed and I can see why so many fans wanted this released.This is not a serious manga. Earlier in my review of volume 3, I mentioned that this was like Ouran Host Club in that it wasn't trying to take itself seriously. If you are, you will be disappointed. Even if you don't take it seriously the flaws stick out so obviously it makes me wonder at times what the point of certain things are there for.I like the manga, but there are so many flaws. The pacing is all over the place with oddly timed humor and then romantic tension. If Mutsuki and Anise were the canon pair, as cliche as it would be, I honestly believe it would be a good thing for the series. He is a complex character-more so than the other Knights-and his initial dislike for Anise and slow acceptance of her is written well. Not only that, but in this volume he is starting to regain his memories, and it doesn't look like he has the best past. If he and Anise were to get together, they would have a lot of hurdles to jump. And I really want to see that, but unfortunately, Kaede is quickly becoming the love interest.If you are looking for more manga to read that are shoujo or fantasy, or just another series: Kamisama Kiss, Akatsuki no Yona, Requiem of the Rose King, A Silent Voice, From Far Away by Kyoko Hikawa, Horimiya-being released soon, Ouran High School Host Club, Pandora Hearts, Dawn of the Arcana, Library Wars, Noragami, Maid-Sama!, Your Lie in April, Emma, Dengeki Daisy, Orange-just announced to licensed, Skip Beat!

We officially meet two new roses that Anise’s father made during this. Her father is clearly up to no good, and will be the big enemy in this series.While some of the intense battles end in a humorous diversion, I don’t mind so much. I hope we get some real battles and resolve soon, but I don’t mind the humor. And I like the characters, so I’m okay with it. It doesn’t seem badly done to me.After that, Kaede gets forced into a date with a classmate, to a carnival, which is clearly not going to end well.The romance is sure building, though. I’m a full fan of Kaede at this point, particularly for Anise, but also in general. I love Seiran, as well; he’s a sweetheart. But all of the boys are starting to get serious about making Anise choose one of them. Seiran is going to step up, it sounds like. But the attraction between Anise and Mutsuki is cranking up fast. I don’t mind it, but I also don’t think it’s going to work out.Either way, I’m excited. This is a short book about one of the characters in the game.And his human friend,which I understand would be the person playing the game.It does teach you about some of the weaponry that you use in the game by the book characters using them to get out of a jam.So you can learn stuff from the book to use in the game.The story is funny so you will get a good laugh even if you don't know the game.Hope I helped everybody in their decision to get the book. I've read the first book, along with others, and I've been excited to see what's in store with this literature -- I wasn't disappointed. The first chapter, "Enchanter" has creatures called, Endermen that's working on building an island, only to be compared to slaves building an Egyptian monument or project. It's descriptions like that in the story that painted quite the vivid image in my mind, while reading. What I love best about such stories written by the Two Little Cowboys is that I don't have to be a major fan of the game, as the book is written so well, that it's easy for me to know what's going on. I highly recommend this book.

It is very easy and very interesting for my children to read. They have even read it more than once. They cannot wait to start reading the third one that came out. The kids cant quit talking about it to their friends so I suggested to their friends parents buying this book. I assured them they would not be disappointed.

On a positive note, the story line kept me going. There were a lot of obvious and repetitive statements in the story that really didn't need to be in there. If the author used more contractions the story would flow better when reading. I gave this book two stars because the poor writing was continually a nuisance for me.

By Tiffany Lane I happened to chance upon this book and as a suspense thriller, I felt that the pace of the story needs a bit of fixing. There's plenty of concealed emotions and feelings in the development of the characters to instill an air of mystery. But perhaps I'm more of an action fanatic, so it would have been good if the actions were better paced to create greater excitement within the plot.

This one is no exception!I thought I had the "formula" all worked out, but then she goes and surprises me again with how she crafted this one. As always, there are hot guys and a lovable main character, but I was happy to see the turn this one took. If you loved the first two (and who didn't? and what's wrong with you?) then you'll love this one just as much. I still think the second one is my favorite with how everything all tied together, but this one had just as many fun moments.I wish The Little Mermaid story came into play just a little bit more, since it seemed a little disjointed from the rest of the book and most of it focuses on The Twelve Dancing Princesses. But I'll take it if I got to spend more page time with Donovan. Also, what is it about a thief that is so ... appealing? Especially one with a heart of gold like Aladdin and Flynn Ryder.I feel like I'm in the minority for my in-depth fairy tale knowledge - since I read some reviews that said they didn't know the tragic version of The Little Mermaid, and it's sitting on my shelf. I also am quite familiar with The Twelve Dancing Princesses, and others mentioned not knowing it at all. As someone who was familiar with both, it was interesting to see how she made them her own. I loved how she poked fun at how The Twelve Dancing Princesses doesn't make much sense at times. And I loved seeing Sadie grow throughout the novel to being more confident in who she is. Yay for another fun, swoon-worthy Janette Rallison novel!

Chrysanthemum Everstar is such a fun character, I love the way that she is always interpreting the wishes of the girls that she's supposed to be helping. She's always putting them into some crazy fairy tale. In this one, she sends poor Sadie Ramirez first to the Little Mermaid, and then to the 12 Dancing Princesses. It was kind of fun how some of the princesses from the 12 Dancing Princesses were obviously from modern times, but didn't remember much if anything from their lives. It was also fun how with each new addition from modern times the number of princesses in the fairy tale grew.I liked Sadie as a character. I liked that she is a strong young woman, and that she was able to figure out what was important in the end and show her true character. I think that having strong young women characters in young adult books teaches these young women that they too can be strong young women and stand up for what they believe in. I liked that Sadie needed to think and work with the invisible prince, Donovan, to figure out a way not only to get the goblet they needed but also to try to get both of them and the selfish Jason back to their proper time frame, if at all possible.The story line of this one is really well done. I loved the flow of the story. I loved that it seemed seamless to go from the current time period to the Little Mermaid's time period to the 12 Dancing Princess's time period. And I thought that the ending was fabulous!This is a fun book that both adults and young adults will enjoy reading! You won't want to put it down, I know that I didn't!

She still hasn’t been promoted to Fairy Godmother and has yet again been sent to torture -sorry- help a girl down on her luck. Along with her leprechaun assistant Clover, she grants Sadie Ramirez three wishes.Sadie isn’t having the best time of it. She just upchucked in her audition on America’s Top Talent, in front of millions and her celebrity crush Jason (I liken Jason to our real world Justin Bieber). Because of that horrifying experience Sadie earned the dubious honor of having a fair godmother. Poor Sadie didn’t know what she was in for.This book was so much fun! It was a light and fluffy summer read. Her last two books in this series were phenomenal and I was so excited to see she wrote another. I hope there will be more books coming out because Janette Rallison always writes such funny and charming characters. I loved the fairy tale aspect, as I did in the last two books. She really brings them to life.Sadie was a great and relatable main character. I loved her sense of humor. Even though Sadie and Donovan declare their love after only knowing each other a few days, it was offset by the fact that Sadie questioned if she could even fall in love with someone in such a short period of time. I can count on one hand the number of books I've read where the heroine doesn't just blindly accept how fast the relationship is going. So kudos to the author for adding that aspect to her character. Jason had his moments, even though he’s a complete *insert insult here* He was such an unlikable character but because he was such an idiot I started to kinda like him, or maybe pity him. Donovan had a really compelling backstory and a great personality. Honestly, I couldn't find fault in any of the characters. They really jumped off the page for me.This is the first book in a while that had me reading for hours at a time. Seeing as I have a small attention span for books at the moment, that’s a big indicator that this books rocks. I’m a little sad the book is over and I have to try to find another great one all over again.
