"Do not thank me," whispered Cristobal, with a look of awe; "thank the Little Jesus. And when he comes again next year, to ask what feelings we hold in our hearts, let us both be ready for Christmas."
Rebecca Sophia Clarke (1833-1906), also known as Sophie May, was an American author of children's fiction. Using her nieces and nephews as inspiration, she wrote realistic stories about children. She wrote 45 books between 1860 and 1903. The most popular being the Little Prudy books. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Crazy Fairy Tales By Amazon Customer This is a book of non-traditional fairy tales, although one or two are very similar to known tales. They are rather heavy-handed with the Christian motifs and themes (even the "Norse" story was highly Christian), and the 'introduction' story was...kinda odd. It set up the rest of the tales in such a way to connect this book with other books by the author, but it had no real baring on the tales themselves, so you can feel free to skip it (or check out other books about Little Prudy like Little Prudy's Sister Susy or Little Prudy's Dotty Dimple!)Overall I thought this book was oddly charming, even though I usually don't care for the non-traditional fairy tale books. I'm not entirely sure if it was because the stories are actually *that* good, or if it's because they were bad enough that I found them hilarious, but they were enjoyable. The active Table of Contents is a chart, but it's short, so you can see all of it at once. The page numbers are left in the text, and there are picture-less references to illustrations, both of which I've simply come to expect from freely-published kindle books. The stories contained are:IntroductionCristobalWild Robin (*coughTamlincough*)The Vesper StarThe Water-KelpieThe Lost SylphidThe Castle of GemsThe Elf of LightThe Princess HildaGoldilocks (but not your usual Goldilocks)

But as most kids she wants the audio version so she can listen. I guess she listening to books, rather have her read them but something is better then nothing. Over all she like the book.
